Low Fame =/= Bad at Guild Wars

Low Fame == New to HA. You're new to HA, you obviously will not have a high fame rank... and without that, you can't get into any groups and learn to play.

PvP Elitism at it's worst. You assume that someone who is new to HA (but may be incredibly experienced at other aspects of PvP, not saying this is the case with me but it is with some) is automatically bad at Guild Wars?

People like you are the sort of people who make HA so hard for people to get in to HA.

Tell me, do you wish that no new players would come to Heroes' Ascent?

Small wonder PvE outnumbers PvP. Your own demise, you have brought upon yourselves. GW2 will be more PvE focused than GW1 which was originally a PvP-focused game, now focused on PvE. Why? Because most people went to PvE. Why? Because PvP elitists created a hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere that is hard to get in to and in the case of HA outright rejected the new players. Had you been more welcoming to new players, helped them learn, perhaps PvP would have a larger, stronger player base, instead of being a haughty, arrogant minority.

Am I a casual player? No. I'm a hardcore addict. I'm not asking for content for casuals, I'm asking for a way for the new players to have a way to get a group in HA.

/sigh

more people complaning about "rank discrimination"

its too bad you all started to HA the day that you did, because the day before you started was the last day anet gave 1000 fame for free just by beating ziashen for the time ... so everybody that ever played HA before you already had rank 6 when they started looking for groups =(

im not going to even get started, just know that I consider you pathetic

Or do they still do that? I never payed much attention to Zaishen since I found AB netted Balthazar faction at a much faster rate. (10K was easily obtainable with a small amount of effort whereas Zaishen had that cap.)

Actually, did they ever do that, or are you lying? Bear in mind I've only been playing for around 1000 hours / 4 months.

Since it seemed to go right over your head, I'll explain. Every high ranked player (with some exceptions) started in the same place you and everyone else that bitches about rank discrimination does. 0 to low rank pugs for small fame, if you're a good player there's a good chance you'll get the rank and the good groups eventually (unless of course you play crap builds like spirits/thumpers which will get you nowhere).

If you have high ranked friends, try and get them to get you into their teams. If you play well, you might get invited back. The more that happens, the more you'll get into good teams, as if you are seen with high ranked players, you might be invited by OTHER high ranked players. Not only that, but those teams usually get good fame, so you'll rank up pretty fast.

This is good imo because it will decrease "rankism"(hopefully) and allow newer players to enjoy HA and be able to get into pugs. I am unranked because i lost my last account a while back so i rebought Guild Wars, and i find it incredibly hard to get into a good pug, and ranked groups dont accept you even if u show that you know more and are better at the game than them. Its stupid. Hopefully enough of these weekends will make rank worthless and everyone will be equal again. [sorry if my grammar is shit im a bit tired]

Why A-Net even bother with bonus weekends any more is beyond me. They rarely amount to much.
The only ones I ever really used were the double-xp for elite skill caps weekend and the Canthan triple green drop weekend...

I almost let myself get excited over the triple experience weekend until I learnt it was missions only... Biggest rip-off ever.
Then triple Eye of the North green drops... when most greens come from end-dungeon chests anyway....
Then Alliance Battle faction double as a measly attempt to draw people back from the blessing-farming that A-Net themselves implemented because people didn't want to PvP for faction.

And now.... well... another useless weekend event for the HA Elitist twerps.

When will A-Net start really getting creative with their weekend events?

Lol let it please be HA then, because in HA you don't have to wait 30 minutes to get in a game. I personally think double fame weekend is the last thing we need btw, because HA is already lame farming unless you're in a good (balanced) team. I would love to play HA once without doing stupid crap like spiritway, ritspike, and whatever more.

It would be nice, just once, to see a thread where the PvE and PvP folk don't troll each other.
